Surgery is just one of the treatment options for breast cancer. Some early-stage breast cancers can be removed through a lumpectomy, a procedure to remove the lump and/or cancerous tissue in the breast. If surgery is the most viable option for your diagnosis, your oncologist will discuss this with you. At Southwest General, we offer reconstructive surgery to help patients move forward after breast cancer diagnosis and/or treatment.
